The BJP released its election manifesto for Uttar Pradesh, saying the party is opposed to Muslim quota but committed to the welfare of the minority community. It also announced that it would honour its old promise of a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.
In its manifesto, the party is mainly focusing on education, health, employment and law and order. Key party leaders, including national vice presidents Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Kalraj Mishra, Uma Bharati, and Sudheedra Kulkarni were present at the release. A vision-document for the state was released by the party last week, promising 1.5 crore jobs in the state in the next five years. Seven-phased elections will be held in Uttar Pradesh from February 8-March 3.
