Former deputy prime minister and BJP leader Lal Krishan Advani Preferring to speak about own achievements in BJP-ruled states and party’s dream of converting Uttar Pradesh into Uttam Pardesh, Advani was addressing a huge public rally on Ramlila ground in Shastri Nagar on Sunday evening in support of BJP candidates contesting from the 10 assembly constituencies of the district.
Advani also targetted the BSP supremo Mayawati and the BSP government for giving a poor governance to the people of the state. He said Kanpur had been pulled back in terms of development at a time when other states, especially those where BJP was in power, were advancing by leaps and bounds.
