Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, while casting her vote in a Lucknow school, said, “My party will do even better than 2007″. Mayawati expressed his confidence on Sunday that her party would win the 2012 elections and again form the government in Lucknow.
The fourth phase of polling in the seven-phase Uttar Pradesh polls is being organised today. As many as 17.2 million voters are eligible to elect their representatives spread across 56 constituencies in 11 districts, including state capital Lucknow.
Trinamool Congress is trying its luck in Uttar Pradesh by roping in Bollywood stars to woo the voters. Yesteryear Bollywood actor Padmini Kolhapuri and Poonam Dhillon on Thursday campaigned for the party candidates in Lucknow and Hardoi districts that are going to polls on February 19.
After addressing a gathering in support of the party candidate in Cantonment area in Lucknow, the celebrities headed towards Hardoi, where they campaigned for TC nominee Anoop Chowdhury.

Referring to Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, she said: “My sources have told me the dates of the UP election will be declared in two or three days. But if you vote the Congress to power, then its yuvaraj will decimate all the big and small traders here and hand over all businesses to foreign companies.
