BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said Congress has accepted defeat with a “self goal”, while pointing towards the statement of Congress leader Sriprakash Jaiswal that there was a possibility of President’s rule in UP. Union Minister Jaiswal had said yesterday that if Congress fails to get a majority in UP Assembly polls he sees a possibility of President’s rule. Salman Khurshid, while campaigning for his wife Louise, a Congress candidate from Farrukhabad assembly constituency in UP, had announced that his party would increase the sub-quota for minorities to nine per cent, out of the 27 percent Other Backward Classes (OBC) reservation.
