SP will not join UPA government: Mulayam Singh

Samajwadi party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav asserted on Monday that SP is not joining the UPA government at the Centre. Addressing a press conference here along with Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Mulayam said that neither the Congress has approached him to join United Progressive Alliance (UPA) nor is he inclined to do so.

I have not requested nor will request. We are only supporting them (outside support to UPA) to keep communal forces away from power in Delhi. There is no other support, Mulayam singh said.

38 years old Akhilesh Yadav, will be the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He will also be the youngest ever to hold that position. Mr Yadav’s name was proposed by senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan at a legislative party meeting today. Mulayam summons to DGP and Chief Secy over post-poll violence

Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday summoned Chief Secretary Anoop Mishra and DGP Atul, and asked them to control the violence and punish the guilty. Mulayam’s son Akhilesh smelled a conspiracy behind the violent incidents and said the BSP government’s “favourite officials” were trying to sully the SP’s image.

The DGP, after the meeting, said: “We have apprised them of the situation. Action will be taken against the guilty”. No one will be allowed to take law in his hand.

Akhilesh Yadav 39 years old currently the MP from Kannauj, will be the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
